If i excercise and do 150 pushups and situps evaryday for 1 month, will I be able to notice a difference in muscle tone?

Unless you have a lot of belly fat, you should see a difference for your abs..(because if you have a fat belly, you won’t see the muscle (abs).. and for the pushups, do you know that this is actually working your chest ?
But to be toned, you need to do more than 2 exercices. (you should see a trainer to help you with what you want to achieve)

And what you eat is very important too!
the best advice I can give you is GO TO THE GYM, and meet a professional trainer. This way you are going to tone all your body (which is waaaay better!)

and you should’nt do this every day. Always skip a day between each part of the body you trained. (by exemple , you do your abs today, don’t do them tomorrow! your muscle need to rest!)

Me and my friend are starting to workout again, but we have a very high metabolism and I’m tall and slender. I don’t need to lose weight just tone. I heard that GNC and some of there products that they sell will help you increase muscle, weight, and energy. What are some products that will give us a jump start with exercise to get us pumped.

We on this forum are not supposed to "plug" commercial products and services.

In this particular case, I’m glad I don’t have to.

PS: Anything that involves your heart (and regular exercise does) should come with the doctor’s approval. Visit one ASAP for a physical.

i have a home gym but will have to give it up when i get married next year, and as i travel a lot, its not worth me going to a gym. does anyone have any alternatives to lifting weights to help build and tone muscle?

sets of push ups and sit ups of coarse. And eat lots of protein. For building muscle mass you should eat 1g of protein for every pound of lean body mass + 15-20g more (because your body needs more for gains). But yeah that will def keep you toned. But you’re limited to how much muscle you can build without more resistance. There’s all kinds of different styles of push ups and sit ups. I suggest going to bodybuilding.com and on the left hand side click on exercises. There you will be able to search for workouts that work whatever muscle you’re focused on + you can limit your search to what kind of weights are involved (where you will put none).

I am a relatively BIG structured guy, and i have enough muscle to look like a horse but instead i look like a hippo lol, big and strong but has way to much fat! I have enough muscle for right now but i want to focus on getting cut-up and not gain muscle mass with it! So what do i need to do to lose the fat(not the muscle) and tone up the muscles in my whole body?

I don’t want big muscles. Just toning.

I’ve been wanting the same thing myself. I’ve discovered the best thing to do is run. You lose a little extra weight, and it firms up your stomach, without crunches, as well as practically every other body part. If you carry weights when you run, you’ll get pretty good toning in your arms as well.

A half and hour everyday is good enough, as well as an extra walk or something in the evening. And don’t drink soda, it makes it all come right back.

I have read a lot on the web, but it seems that all sites have something different to say. How can I tone muscle with weights with out growing in size. Also, how much weight can an average person loose doing weights? How often would he/she have to lift in order to loose substantially?

I’m 5′5 107 pounds. I don’t have a model’s body at all. My stomach is a little pudgy and my thighs need toning. How can I tone muscle and gain weight at the same time(I don’t want t o lose weight)? I want to be at least 115-125, but I want a fit and feminine look, not too muscle(y). A schedule or a website would be great.
oh yeah I want a bigger(but toned) butt, are their any exercises for that?
